I don't want to bring up the issue of fitbit logging steps whilst cycling, it seems like that has been gone over time and again without resolution, but I am curious about the logging of calorie burn in this situation.
If I log a cycling session, either automatically or by starting a workout from the watch it will log a certain number of calories burnt during this time consider them in my daily budget. But if the fitbit is simultaneously logging steps during this time, is it also factoring in the calories burnt calculated from these 'phantom steps' into my daily budget, thus making it inaccurate?

what's worse, since I can't use connected GPS between my phone and the fitbit, I start a cycling activity on the fitbit (to keep track of my HR (and make sure it doesn't out of the blue stops tracking it)), and also start MobileTrack on the phone (for GPS) in run mode. The calorie count don't double up, but I get an insanely number of steps from the MobileTrack's run activity.
I can delete the running session, but then I lose the GPS info for that session.
