My phone is logging more steps when my fitbit syncs it negates the steps? It never used to do this why now??

Could you please post some screen shots are explain what is happening.

After a sync the steps on the blaze should match the dashboard.

Have you manually added a past exercise?

Here is what confuses me

Phone is logging more steps, I thought it was the Blaze that counts steps.

After a sync steps are removed.

A warm welcome to the Community @ErinKBall7 and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

As requested, can you please tell me how are you logging your activities? Since when you manually log an activity like walk or run, it might affect your information. If you are manually logging these two activities, I recommend deleting them.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

Not matching. As soon as my fitbit syncs to the app i’ll loose those 2k steps. They used to match. Only adjust maybe 60 steps. No changes so whats the deal?

Your using both your phone and Fitbit tracker to record your activity.

The phone in your pocket and the tracker on your arm. They will be counting steps differently with different step counts.

When you do sync, Fitbit will then try to figure what tyetsteps really where and adjust things. After a sync the tracker and app should still match.

My guess as to why steps are being removed cutting the sync is because Fitbit has two seperate data streams to analyze then trys to figure the steps walked.

Since you say you have mobile track and your Blaze we need to look at when the Blaze is worn .Since the Blaze will take precedence over mobile track.

You say the step count goes down. Does it go down on both the tracker and the app,,

IE: what is the step count on the Blaze and on the phone before the Sync. also what it the step count after a sync .

They go down to what the blaze days vs going to what the app counts. It used to go up 200-300 but now the count is behind in the thousands like the blaze is missing all my steps.
