Steps not resetting - Blaze - Firmware: 17.8.401.3

Hi,

 

My steps have not reset at midnight and so far I have completed nearly 12,000 instead of the 3,000 i know it takes me to get to work.

 

I have tried restarting by pressing the buttons left and bottom right, unpairing and re-pairing, classic mode, non-classic mode, shutting down, starting up but it just shows the steps have not reset. 

 

Annoying because I am using this with MapMyRide and MyFitnessPal and it's thrown all my steps, calories and other stats I track out the window for this week.

 

Please help?!?!?!

Hi, @Matt_L, unfortunately when this happens there is no user solution for resetting the steps and, as you have discovered, none of the procedures you have tried will reset your steps.  The only thing to do is to wait until the next midnight, when your steps should reset as normal.

 

This can sometimes happen (inconsistently) if the Blaze is turned off over night, and I would personally avoid doing this.  It also can happen if you upgrade your device around midnight, if you change timezones (so your timezone "jumps over" midnight) or if for some other reason (perhaps a temporary electronic "freeze") where your device just doesn't "see" midnight for whatever reason.  In that case the signal to reset is not received.

 

The good news is, howver, everything should be fine tomorrow.  Welcome to the forums!
