I keep finding my distance is way out to my steps after calculating my distance of 5.65km with 8510 steps works out at 66cm stride even though have entered at stride length of 76 as that's what I worked it out to be by measuring it out just does not seem to be updating any one else have this issue!

Yes, I have tried several times and it does not change regardless of updating, sometimes inputting to much longer stride lengthsthan I need and even giving it a whole day to sync/adjust. My charge HR worked well just using the default.

I have a similar problem whereas my Blaze is using a longer stride length than what I set and is therefore calculating the distance I walked incorrectly.

From a walk I did Fitbit reported the following:
Distance: 8.4km
Steps: 8767 steps
Calculated Stride Length = 96cm/step
Stride Length Set in Fitbit Settings=75.8cm and GPS auto calibration=OFF

For this walk I measured the following using Google Maps:
Distance: 6.78km
Steps (from Fitbit): 8767 steps
Calculated Stride Length = 77cm/step

My actual stride length (77cm) was much closer to the set stride length of 75.8cm.

I'm really concerned about the accuracy of my Fitbit Blaze for cycling and now walking...what is going on here???

I bought this product in the faith that it was more or less accurate.  However I'm seeing terrible accuracy problems.  If it was within 1cm or so of my set stride length, I would not have a problem.  But to be using a stride length of 20.2cm greater than my set stride length is obviously a big problem.

Did this issue ever get resolved? My run stride length  is set accurately and I've verified it running known distances. However, the Blaze is underreporting by ~25%.

How is the Blaze calculating distance if the GPS is off and not utilizing the calculated stride length? Looks like an issue faced by quite a few. Customer service help will be really appreciated!

@qualitie i have moved your post out of the thread about steps, why hijack it, into the thread about stride and distance

@qualitie without GPS the only option the Blaze has is to count the steps, then multiply it by the stride. If the distance is off then one of tge multipliers should also be off.

If your looking for an answer from cutomer service you might want to get intouch with customer service.
