I would like to know when doing the elliptical exercise what stride length is used (walking or runming)?

I have the blaze.

It counts the steps correctly because I hold onto the moving arms. The problem is when it multiplies the the step count by stride length it does not match the distance the machine is telling me.

I wish there was a way to set a 3rd stride length specifically for ellypticals as I've been searching for the answer for days to this.

Please let me know which stride length the elliptical exercise uses to calculate total distance. Step count multiplied by ????????

Thanks

Thile virtual distance the elyptical goes is based on the times the wheel spins. Unfortunately the wheel can spin faater than the arm can always push it. Technically there is not a stride for an elyptical.
