Syncing, active minutes and battery inconveniences

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

1- not syncing runs started on the blaze with the app.

2- not automatically picking up my sleep.

3- not syncing my hourly 250 steps with the app

4- not converting exercise into active minutes

5- battery life is now terrible, having to charge it daily and I've only had it 6 months.

Its all driving me mad! Each week it seems I'm losing another feature!  Did the most recent update last week and it's fixed nothing.

2- not automatically picking up my sleep.

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

A warm welcome to the Community @Mrsalltonsboys and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.

Regarding to the issues you are having with your Blaze, here are some things you can try besides the instructions that our friend @WendyB provided.

  1. Are you receiving a message at the moment of syncing the exercises tracked with your Blaze? If you are, could you please provide me with a screenshot of it? In the meantime, you can follow the instructions provided in the Having trouble syncing? post.
  2. If your sleep feature is not working, try the restart procedure and take a look at this post where our friend @FerdinandFitbit in providing information about how this feature works.
  3. About the 250 steps per hour, keep an eye in this post where our friend @CallieM is providing updates about this issue.
  4. Can you tell me which activity are you doing to earn active minutes? Are you manually logging the activity "walk" or "run"? Since manually logging these activities might take away some information earned.
  5. The battery, take a look at this post, where you will be able to see some steps to follow.

I hope this helps, see you around. Woman Happy

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

Tried the restart numerous times and not making any difference to my Fitbit picking up my sleep. It will only register my sleep if I tell the app i'm going to sleep, it won't pick it up automatically like it used to.

I've also given it a good clean to make sure it's getting good contact with my wrist.

When I start tracking a run or walk on my blaze it is now transferring into the exercise section of the app and showing me the gps which is one problem fixed. However it's not registering the correct calorie burn and it is still not converting into active minutes.

And I'll take on board all the advice re charging so hopefully will see an improvement in the battery life.

Still no fix to the 250 hourly steps issue, but at least that one is being worked on.

Açtive minutes are based on the level of of activity in the minute, and has nothing to do with using the recording of an activity function.

The user needs to be active enough to burn 3 times their BMR
