My Blaze will not sync with my new phone. The Samsung S8 or S8+ are not on the list of compatible devices.  I know it's a new a new phone but this needs addressed ASAP.  Lots of people rely on these notifications. Please work on this issue.

I finally figured out how to add a trusted device. However, my phone says it can't add this device to my trusted devices.

I wasted enough time and energy trying to get the blaze and s8 to sync. I returned the blaze. Ordered a garmin. That's my fix

The s8 and s8 plus is showing up now but they said it's a bug as to why it doesn't get Notifications yet

I have done everything through the fitbit app. I get as far as the pin and it just says to try again. I'm so fed up trying it the last two days. I had an iPhone and had no issues at all. Now s8 is disappointing..

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro. It's made for your phone. Pre- order. Or get the older Gear fit 2. Can't go wrong. I loved my Fitbit for years. I had no choice. Fitbit just won't work with the S8.

Ok Fitbit, so you now say that these problems with the Blaze and the Samsung S8 is a problem for Samsung to deal with.  However, Fitbit said it was supported, and I purchased one.  Where do I return the Blaze to get my money back since I can't return it to Amazon after all this time has passed?

This is Fitbits statement from the forum Battery drain/Notifications - Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+

on Wed 9-2017.  Note that these issues were first posted in April 2017.  It took 6 months to say not our problem.

Thanks everyone for your continued patience! I can confirm that our team has thoroughly investigated this Bluetooth connection issue between Blaze and the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. After the investigation on our end, it looks like Samsung will need to release an update to have this resolved.

I really appreciate everyone's cooperation while this was being looked into. I know this has been frustrating but thank you for your understanding. Now that we have concluded the above, I'm going to close this thread. If any new issues come up, please start a new topic.

I would appreciate a refund.

It is not a Samsung issue. My wife has a Charge 2 and a Samsung S8+ and no
issues. This is 100% a Blaze issue!!!

i probably will sell my fitbit blaze as time has passed. i also own a samsung galaxy s8. i had no issues with my motorola nexus 6 phone. The issue that i am currently having is that the phone does sync eventually but not in 'real time'. so i cannot rely on my steps count while on treadmill always have to refer to the fitbit blaze.

i would have hoped by now fitibit would have 'fixed' this issue. but unfortunately they have not and yes this needs to be addressed by fitbit as bluetooth technology changes all the time.

A bit dissappointed with fitbit/samsung sync

I can get it to pair now but it won't connect to my phone for a run. Anything you've done to fix that or did it just start randomly working?

I am going insane..  I completely factory reset my phone with a replaced Blaze.  It worked for about five minutes then back to the battery drain and no-notification issues..

Apparently there is a mythical update coming from Samsung but this like waiting for the Second Coming.  We're still waiting.

Any ideas appreciated...

My solution was to get rid of the Blaze and go with a Samsung Gear S3. It plays very nicely with the Galaxy S8.
