Tapping the display doesn't work

So I had a Fitbit HR.. I was very pleased with it.. however I was not fond of the color my husband picked . When it was time for a new one I picked the Blaze seeing how it was the newest version available .. I am disappointed .. I constantly tap the screen for it to show my info . & sometimes it will not work.. i feel like im constantly tapping it ... (swiping side to side for other features is no problem though ) ..
I thought it would be much better than this . I bought my teenage boys a Bluetooth watch for Christmas . I paid $65.00 & it has way more features than this.. also there's looks like an apple watch.. shows notifications & you can play music through the watch itself ( which I thought this could do )
Style wise .. not impressed there either ..
Pretty disappointed ..

For starters, your probably tapping and your finger slides on the screen.. The Blaze has a touch scteen, so tap it the way you would tap your phones keyboatd, use a light touch and release. Now if quick view is turned on, bring the forearm up and close to horizontal, then twist the wrist. The display should turn on.

You're not supposed to tap the screen to turn the display on, you're supposed to tap the frame, twice.

I am just bummed that you have to dismantle it to charge it. What a pain. Wish I had known this. I would have chosen something easier to manage. Although FitBit says it lasts 5 days, I have never gotten more that 3.5 so this will be a real pain.
