Can someone tell me why my text messages are not showing up on my Blaze, they were before and now they are not.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey there @SunsetRunner! I would like you to make sure that you have a supported device, if you're not getting all the notifications besides text messages, then try this procedure My tracker isn't receiving notifications from my Android mobile device

Additionally, what device are you using?

Hope this helps.

I have a Fitbit Blaze. I have an android phone. When I first setup my Blaze I was getting notifications, calls and texts.  Now I'm only getting notifications and calls.  I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and restarting my phone. What should I try next?

@DAF69 Your issue sounds like what many others of us have been seeing for the last month and a half or so. When Fitbit updated the app to version 3.0, it broke notifications for text messages. Reverting back to version 2.9 or 2.95 has fixed the issue for most of us. If you look through the threads on the main page, there is one titled "Blaze won't display text messages" that is about 6 pages long and there are details there about how to go back to a previous version of the app.

I have no idea who you are responding to @reallywhynot but your simply saying in one sentence what @SunsetRunner stated, which is, worked before, app updated, now broke, turn app back, now works.

@reallywhynot Did you simply uninstall and reinstall the app on your phone? If so, that is the problem. You have to download an older copy of the app (something before version 3.0) from somewhere else and install it. If you simply get the app from the Google Play store and let it install the app, it will not work.

Where would you find something like that

I can't post a link because the board won't let us do that. If you do a Google search for "fitbit app version 2.95" you will see a couple of places to get it. The one I used has up-to-down in the domain name without the dashes in it.

Please note that there is some risk involved with installing this way because you will have to tell your phone to allow an install from an unknown source. Others have said they did a scan on the file before installing and it comes back clean. If you install an older version you will also need to go into the Google play store and turn off automatic updates for this app, otherwise it will get overwritten and mess up again.

Hi @DAF69 and @SunsetRunner. It's nice to see a new member around! @SunsetRunner and @reallywhynot and @Rich_Laue, it's always great to see you around. I'm sorry for the delay in my response, and I'll continue helping you.

@DAF69 and @reallywhynot, I'm sorry that you're also having issues with the notifications and thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you've tried prior posting. As it was mentioned above, our team has received feedback about the notifications not working after updating the Fitbit app, and they're working on this to bring a solution to all of you. While there isn't a time frame when the fix will be available, be sure that your comments will not be taken for granted.

@SunsetRunner and @Rich_Laue, thanks for your help and I'm glad everything is working for you @SunsetRunner! While it has worked for others, we do not recommend the use of an older Version of the App, as some features may not work as desire and sometimes it could also cause syncing issues.

If you need anything else, let me know.

How long does it typically take to fix an issue like this? Can I be notified when it is fixed?
