Text Messages

I can not get my text messages to sync to my Blaze. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7. When someone calls, the contact shows up on my blaze but when I get a text message, it just says message. I thought the actual message would show up. I have tried unsyncing it, uninstalled the Fitbit app, etc. I am wondering if it has something to do with the message app on my phone. I have tried different texting apps. Thanks!

Help us @BReatherford your asking about an app/phone/messaging problem but no mention of what phone or messaging app your using? 

When messaging was dry up there should have been a setting for how you want the messages to show up. There might also be a setting in the messaging app or the phones OS,

Sorry, I mentioned that it was a Samsung Galaxy S7 but failed to mention the apps. I have tried the Message + app and the one I have set as my default is called Messages.
