Hello
I am new to the community and woke up today with CONTACT DERMATITIS (thickened finger tips, itching, burning cracked and some bleeding )
I bought the Blaze yesterday, along with the Stainless Steel Optional Bracelet. I put in on and went to bed with it on. I woke up with an outbreak of Contact Dermatitis on my hands.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I have had Nickel Contact Derm for 16 years and know the drill.
Before purchasing either piece, I could not find the Meal Alloy Content on the box, or at Fitbit.com
I had to return my Apple Watch last month for the same reason!
I called Fitbit today, Sunday and the Agent placed me on hold and then came back. He said the Metal Links in the optional Stainless Steel Bracelet, the buckle on all Silicon Straps and a small area on the back of the watch, where the Heart Rate Sensor is, ALL contain Nickel Alloy in them. To strengthen the metal.
IF YOU HAVE NICKEL CONTACT DERM, be mindful of this when looking at the BLAZE AND THE OPTIONAL STAINLESS STEEL BRACELT
Now I have to go with The Garmin VIVOACTIVE HR + which is all plastic and more money. Not to hurt Fitbit, but had they listed the content of their Metal Alloys that they use and where they use them, it would have saved me a lot grief!
GOOD LUCK FOLKS

Welcome to the Community @JGatien40. I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience you have with your Blaze tracker. You might want to make sure that your wristband doesn't feel too tight and that it's snuggled enough for it to be comfortable to wear. Not too tight but not too floppy. However, I recommend taking it off and read our Wear and Care article, I also suggest to reach out our Support Team directly. I am sure they will go above and beyond to take care of this for you.

See you around! Woman Happy
