The email set up on my account is not mine!!!

I was unable to log food and exercise on my fitbit app today and after trying a few options I decided to  delete the app and reinstall it. I checked the security info first as I have a home and work email and when I went into the security settings I do not recognise the email address and cannot change it to mine as I need to confirm the current password, which I do not know as my account must have been hacked by someone and they have reset the email and password.

Hello @loopylew70a I see you are posting from a 4 year old account.

You may want to check your saved passwords in your browser settings.

Or go to you Fitbit Settings where you can see your registered email address

FYI that my account was hacked this morning (May 30, 2020) and the email address was changed. I got an email stating that my email address had been changed and if it was not me then to click a link to revert it. After verifying the reset link was legitimate I was able to fix it. Going forward I will be using Google authentication for my account as it offers two-factor authentication. Suggest everyone do the same.
