The latest update broke my fitbit

My fitbit was working fine before this latest update came out.  I am not sure what they were trying to do but now its not connecting.  Any suggestions? Or should I just buy another one? I have the fitbit Blaze.

My charge 3 when out right after I tried to update my Fitbit. No other problems with it before that. It is 1.5 years old. They only offered me a discount on a new Fitbit. Is this my fault? I think the responsibility should be on Fitbit and a replacement tracker should be offered.

If you tell them no thank you, you will take your business elsewhere they will offer a one time replacement.
