Third-Party Bands?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

With the Blaze's versatility of being a removable module, I'd really like to see some third party developers get creative with an assortment of different bands/frames, or maybe even different types of housing for the blaze (like something that's just a clip if you didn't want to wear it on your wrist). Did anyone see/hear of anything like this? The only accessories I can find right now are the ones made by Fitbit, which surprises me. I'd really like to find a canvas band, or one that has a frame that is some color other than silver (like black or gold).

i guess i should've read the reviews on it then, but regardless i got something similar to that one; also the one i got was only $12.99. They only have one left from what i see, but i'll let everyone know how it is when i get it.

I have seen some positive reviews with pictures about the magnets, but for the $35 it was worth the risk IMO.  I will certinly report back.

Good to see 3rd party bands already on Amazon.  What I'm looking forward to are 3rd party frames, specifically a black or darker version from the gray.   Gray stands out too much in my opinion.   Would like to have an all black option.  Smiley Very Happy

Keep an eye on this seller, they have a frame out now, but it is not black.  I bet more colors are added soon.  They even have some hideous looking housing systems here.

So far I've seen one company come out with a bunch on amazon.  Looking forward to hearing the reviews on the quality and where it's coming from. (I think i heard China a few weeks ago...?)

I just ordered one of these because I am having a pretty good reaction to the one that came with the Blaze - I have sensitive skin anyway with a latex allergy so moving to the stainless steel in hopes of no more rash.

Just received my 3rd party band via Amazon (shipped from Kentucky), got it in three days. There are a lot of bands out there but I waited until one was FBA and Prime just in case I didn't like it. The fit is perfect for me. I wear large in the Fitbit bands and think the large leather is too big and the small is too small.

I'm very pleased with the look of this one. It didn't come with instructions so I recommend looking at the back of your Fitbit before taking off the bands so you'll be less confused (like me).

Here's the link and pictures. The last picture I moved it to the smallest part of my wrist just so you could see how far over the magnetic closure is. If you have a tiny wrist, I think I'd wait until they came out with a small. Currently, silver, rose gold and black are in stock.

My review name is KGJ

Thank you for your review and photos. I have been looking at this band, but was wondering whether it would be easy to inadvertantly flip it open. I appreciate your feedback, as it sounds like it's pretty secure.

It is very secure. I don't think it would easily come off if I caught it on something. It's a very strong magnet.

I am curious if the magnet would do anything to the lithium battery on the
Blaze. I know that some times batteries are effected by Magnets??

Good question. Definitely don't see how that could be any affect while wearing it but I will definitely be careful with how it's stored when I take it off. You can lie it flat and move the magnet part away from the Fitbit.

I doubt a magnet would affect the battery.  Many phones and the AW use non contact charging, that works by a constantly fluctuating magnetic fi3d. It basically is an open-air transformer.

I am curious about this as well as I got my shipment notification from Amazon and it looks like it might be coming from overseas, but I cannot tell yet.  The Seller OITOM that the pictures were posted from that said they were from Kentucky shows that Amazon fulfills their shiping, which is why they came quickly from kentucky.

I ordered from V-moro on Amazon and I cannot tell where it shipped from, but the tracking shows an LS in the front.  I am worried I may not see it for a week or 2.

I think I may order a different color from Oitom on Amazon, hopefully that cool looking Blue one someone posted earlier.

Just ordered myself a Milanese Loop band from Amazon from the Oitom seller. $32 with Prime shipping.

Hopefully they sell some leather bands soon, or some frames that are different colors!

I got mine yesterday and while it does appear to be made in China it is
very easy to use, very comfortable, and the magnet is quite strong. I have
no fears of hitting it and it coming undone. If it does happen to come
undone, it doesn't fall off the arm like the others as the loop doesn't
completely release. A bonus: the rash from the original band is already
fading after just a day. 🙂
