Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So, I've had the blaze for two charge cycles and a couple of workouts.

Is it me or is the how the Blaze is designed (main unit, bracelet) it is screaming for quick upgrades of the main unit? Like the Blaze 2 should git into the Blaze 1 bracelet and bang it will

a) have bigger screen

b) better battery life

c) super cool new functions

What do people think?

I think there is not going to be a Blaze 2, but we will see firmware updates.

As for cool new functions, they would need to be in relation to fitness.

I would love to see blaze add a way to add inscription to my alarms. I.E. When I set an alarm I would like to be able to add a notation of what that alarm is for. I would also LOVE to be able to add my food or at least water intake from the blaze. Would be awesome to have a way to view steps from the main screen with all 4 of the blaze homes screen options. No deal breakers for me because I love my blaze. But if you ever were able to add those features. I'd LOVE it even more 😊 #FitbitJunky #ChargeChargeHRBlaze #FitbitLifer #ThanksFitbit

@BreNamasteYogi great idea vote here for nameing alarms.

As for your water idea, look here.

As for steps i notice that some of the faces I'm able to tap to see steps. I think with every clock face you should at the least be able to see the time and your primary goal or date

I totally aggree with all you say about the Blaze @iwsmith, I like it so well I just recieved my secong one in gunmetal.

Now if i connect 2 Blazes to my account (plus HR)   " how will I be able to tell the 2 Blazes apart on my APP"???

Are we even talking about the same thing when you say Blaze 2???

I have multiple bands and both will fit in any.

Hi there @SunsetRunner. Good to see you around and it's great to hear that you just received your Blaze in the Gunmetal frame!

Currently, you will not be able to connect two trackers of the same kind on the same account. You can have for example a Fitbit Blaze and a Fitbit Charge HR and even when you have both on the same account, you should not wear them simultaneously but sync the one you will not be using and after you sync it to start using the other one but definitely, you can not have two of the same trackers on one account.

If you have any other questions about this, don't hesitate in letting us know!

I'm not buying the current Blaze.  I have a Charge that the band has fallen off thanks to heat and sweat over time.  Black electrical tape holds it together now.  I could probably get a replacement, but since a new Charge would have the same band, I'm just going to run into the same problem 6 months from now.  So I recently looked into getting a Blaze as an upgrade, but from what I've read in the forums, Fitbit is exceeding their capacity to produce reliable products while trying to cram in as many new features to attract customers.

Here are the issues I'm reading about Blaze:

1) Step counts are severely under counted compared to previous models (a major deal killer)
2) HR monitor takes hours of fiddling in order to find your 'spot'. ( I'll wait for this technology to improve)

3) Silent Alarm vibrations are very weak compared to other models
4) Accessory bands are rediculously expensive ($30 would be high, but $130?!!!!!)

5) Lack of timely firmware updates to address the most important issues

I'll stick to my taped-up Charge.  It counts my steps just fine, which is the most important thing I care about.

Totally agree about accessories, definitely too expensive, even more considering what's inside, a little piece of plastic. Don't get me wrong, I love my blaze and I never experienced your issues, but accessories are insanely overpriced.

I totally agree with you regarding their rush to add features, leaving them with substandard products. The present firmware rollout is a shining example of that.

Regarding the bands/accessories, there are several third party options that are very affordable and high quality that will work for the blaze.

Yeah that's exactly the point. Got a cool red strap for blaze from third part, still looking awesome after constant use, swimming (yes I did, blaze still wording fine), sweat and sun... I would say it's even better than the original one, paid less than half of the original fitbit. This makes the original super overpriced to my eyes.
