Too many steps showing in the dashboard after turning on Blaze

Hi Everyone,

So I woke up this morning and turned on my blaze ( I switch it off at night as it likes to register my bpm as 200+ when I'm not wearing it) and after syncing it to my phone so it displays the correct time it is saying that I have already done 11000+ steps for the day.

Obviously this is really annoying as it's going to throw off my averages and records. I have tried setting the time window as driving and it doesn't fix the issue. Does anyone know a solution for this? its driving me crazy...

Hi there @Sam_Taylor93, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear that your Fitbit Blaze was showing that amount of steps when you just turned it on. Thanks a lot for trying to get rid of these steps by logging a driving activity. I'd like to help you out with this.

I'm not sure why this could have happened. My suggestion would be to restart your tracker. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

If logging a driving activity for the time frame that the steps show, I can recommend just keeping an eye on your tracker for the next days and if you notice this to happen again, let me know and I'll be happy to take a deeper look.

Anything else, I'm here to help!
