I have a brand new blaze straight out of the box. When I put it in the charging dock it powers up and the display works and also shows a full charge, however when I take it off charge the display goes black and does not respond. I've tried to do the factory reset nothing happens.......help please!

Hey there guys @Kakui @Aarvidson, great to see you in the Community Forums!

I'm sorry you're having problems with your tracker. Whenever you get a new Fitbit Blaze, the screen most likely will say www.fitbit.com/setup. And if you put it in the charger, it will not show that it is charging, however, it is. In that situation, you need to proceed and set up your tracker to your account. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Once you do this, the tracker will show a battery indicator the first time you put it to charge and it will go away a little bit after.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help!

Hi @shjm1733. Good to see you are part of the Fitbit Family, welcome aboard! 😄

I'm sorry you're having problems with your tracker not showing anything on the display 😕

It sounds like you've already set up your tracker so it's not the situation I mentioned above. If you press any buttons on the tracker, nothing shows up at all? Whenever you restart it, are you able to see anything on the display and after that it goes black or you don't see anything at all?

I'd like to help you out with this. I'll be waiting for your reply!

No they could not resolve the issue. I talked to customer service and we tried to troubleshoot with no luck so they have decided to send me a new one. The problem with that is I bought it on amazon which are in stock and if you wanna pay can get it as early as next day. The new one which is coming from Fitbit is back ordered 8 weeks out

Not very happy about that at all. The model is the large gunmetal blaze. They told me they would give me expedited shipping when it comes available.......really doesn't help though with it being 8 weeks out......kinda just fed up😤

Hi @Kakui. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums!

I'm very sorry to hear that your tracker didn't work in the end but I'm glad to hear that they're getting it replaced for you.

I totally understand how you feel about this 😕 It seems that at the moment that model is backordered and besides that, there's not much else that can be done. I'm very sorry about this but I'm sure they'll do all they can to get you back on track as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your patience and if you need anything else, I'm here to help!

I'm having the same issue as others on this site.  My new Blaze works on charger, but will not turn on off of the charger.  Is this a common problem?  If so, why?  Very disappointing to buy a new product that will not work properly.
