Treadmill & Blaze results

I walk on a treadmill at 3.9 mph for an hour – my blaze seems to record steps accurately but shows I've walked up 56 flights of stairs which I have not and does not show my exercise at all on the apps dashboard. If I manually enter my exercise on the fitbit app afterwards, it adds over 7000 steps to my already  accurate count now making it totally inaccurate – any suggestions?

Your tracker does not have an auto detect function for treadmill,  are you manually putting your tracker into tteadmill mode?

It's great to welcome you @maxwellax and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

Are you selecting this activity directly from your tracker? If you aren't, I recommend doing this to have better results. If you don't have "Treadmill" in the shortcuts exercises, you can add it by doing the following from a computer:

1. Click the gear icon
2. Click Blaze
3. Click exercise shortcuts
4. Click edit
5. Select the ones you prefer
6. Click Save
7. Sync

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes. Woman Happy

I don't think so – mine also does not calculate the correct distance. The blazer is great for a treadmill and walking but fairly useless for bicycles

If you want your Blaze to calculate tye treadmill distance correctly, yes you will need to setup you stride.

But remember your stride on the treadmill will be different than you stride while outside.

As for bike, the connected gps is needed to measure distance.
