Understanding Sleep Mode

Okay so today I had a short flight (2 hours or so) and I decided to sleep most of the flight.  I know that my Fitbit registered my sleep last evening, but it does not seem to register any of my sudo (my term) sleep on the flight.  As such I was wondering why this did not occur and if others had any thoughts or theories on this...

Thanks,

Hello,

I have a Fitbit Surge, but my friends and family have a assortment of fitbit devices and we have all ran into this colondrum. Sometimes our fitbits especially those with heart rate monitors will pick up on a mid day nap but usually that is not the case. For the most part the longer you sleep and the more your heart rate drops the greater chance your nap has as being recognized as such by your fitbit. This is just my experience and it may be different for other users.

Make sure tye Fitbit has synced since you got of the plane. I've noticed that someone the sleep dowdy show up for a few hours and then only when anither sync happened.

Another thought is maybe the vibrations of the engines kept the sleep from registering.

Hello @Andhanni@KermitB and @Rich_Laue @Andhanni It's great to have you here! It can be that you where not in a comfortable position so you where moving arround while sleeping on the plane or the theory from @Rich_Laue that the vibrations of the engines could affect the sleep tracking could be the reason why it didn't detect the nap. Are you still experiencing issues with sleep or was it a one time event during your flight?
