I have tried unistalling the app a couple of times aswell as truning off the bluetooth and both my phone and tracker.

Same here, everything else is set up, music as well. But as soon as I press the Notification settings in general it stops the app. I have set it all up as instructed upto that point with fitbit instructions. My device is a Sony Z5 compact.

Hi hopefully you have figured it out, but it was a problem in the phone settings. If you go into settings then applications and application manager you need to click on 'permissions' and set it for SMS and calendar then you are able to click on the notifications in the app and it will work no problems.
Cheers

Hi, I am having the same issues as everyone here - Samsung S6 Edge - have tried to change my permissions reinstall and i am still having the same issues as i was before.
After i reinstall i can get the picture asking to connect for notifications but it freezes and then goes back to the error message. 😞

Hi, if your talking about the permissions for the Fitbit app in application manager then I have already set all of these on, so it's not that.

Hi All,
For some reason mine seems to have sorted itself out and I now get messages and calls to my Blaze - however I have noticed that the notification tab on the app stills says the same message?
also is it only calls and texts that you can set up? do other media apps work such as snapchat or whats app?

My son has WhatsApp working on his phone, notifications work fine on his phone, in the Notification area that we can't enter you can select WhatsApp and a few other apps including email

Same issue, Galaxy S7 Edge... seeing a pattern here. I tried what was suggested for permissions, no luck. Notifications are critical for me. I hope I can find a solution or it will need to be returned. 😞 Please help Fitbit!

@TourneyUnfortunately for both of us, Fitbit shows this as a "known device issue" (Known Device Issues😞
Samsung S5 and S6, Samsung Note 5 and Ellipsis 10 | You may be unable to use music control with Fitbit Blaze. |
Someone who is more techie than I will have to remark on whether Fitbit, Samsung, or both need to get their act together to fix it, though...

Hi tourey, that's a different problem to the one we have as the music control uses a different Bluetooth connection and that was working fine. But, since the update last week my notifications now work, hurrah
