Hi, so I'm very new to this I found this fitbit box in another box in my granny's garage and this is the first time setting it up. It connects to my phone through the app did the whole pairing and the number thing. But it won't show anything else but the "fitbit.com/setup" thing on the watch itself and my phone says it needs an update, I get the notification it's complete but the screen in app says "try again". It's counting steps on the app but the watch won't change screens and the phone is being weird with the update I have an android and it's compatible.

I don't know what to do I know it's discontuied but it should still work right? I've looked at other posted but restarting it didn't do anything. Please help thanks.

@Kapsugarshak  @ljepava   It looks like Fitbit removed the updates from its older discontinued models.  Other users are having the same experience with "new" Alta, Alta HR, and Charge 2 trackers.  They were all released and discontinued about the same time.

same here. I have 2 brand new Fitbit Blaze tracker, unused, and when I link it, pair it with my Fitbit account,  it syncs, but it doesn't do updating latest tracker firmware, screen is always same showing logo with url Fitbit.com/setup.

I guess its the app issue,  somebody in Google needs to fix it.

if it's true, its stupid. they killed potential users who got new/unused tracker, and now who can't use it. I don't see point killing it that way. still think they f**ked some code in the app. if not, its bye-bye fitbit for me.

I'm sorry for your loss, I know the hurt your going through. I don't think I'll buy fitbit after knowing this is what they do to "old" products.
