Since the latest update 8.301.7, alarms are completely unreliable. I've seen many posts where users speculate that it may have vibrated, but they slept through it. Not the case with my experience. It vibrates 10 to 20 minutes late or doesn't vibrate at all.
The Bluetooth will just randomly not be connected anymore. I usually have to reset the blaze to get it to connect again.
Notifications randomly work. Yes, they certainly won't work when the bluetooth is not connected (see note above,) but notifications still sometimes work, sometimes not when the bluetooth is actually connected.
I rely heavily on the notifications, but I cannot do that now.

Hi there @mrbrown. Good to see you in the Fitbit Community!
I'm sorry you're having issues with your alarms and with your tracker staying connected in general.
Since you've mentioned that you've already tried to restart the tracker to get it to sync but it not always helps, I can recommend setting up your tracker as a new device.
For this, please go to your account section on your app and here look for the option that says "Set up a new device" and follow the on-screen instructions. It's better if you also go into your phone's bluetooth settings and where you find the Blaze, tap on "Forget this device" and after that, set it up as a new device.
Try that out and see how it goes!
