Unwanted low battery notification emails

Hi,

Is anyone else being sent emails saying that their Blaze battery is low, even though they never opted into them?

I've unsubscribed three times but they keep on coming!

Thanks

Hey there @DarloJo, good to see you around! 🙂

I would like to help you out with this! Maybe getting notificaton emails for low battery was selected by default when you created your account, so just make sure it's not selected. For this, go into your computer's browser to fitbit.com and log in with your email address and password.

Once you're in your dashboard, click on the gear icon at the top right corner and go to Settings. Here, in the column on the left, click on Notifications. The first notification option you'll find is for Low Battery. Make sure that Email is not selected and hit Save at the bottom.

If it's already unselected, select it, save the changes and then, unselect it and save the changes again and see if this helps.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Thanks - I already double checked my dashboard but I’ll try enabling then disabling to see if that works. Fingers crossed!

I'm having the same problem - it started about 2 weeks ago and I've had my blaze for 18 months so totally not something I signed up for in settings etc.

I've unsubscribed the email 5 times, each time it tells me it was successful and then 2 days later I get the email again!

I've gone into the settings directly and made sure the email box isn't ticked. But I still keep getting the emails!

Hi there guys. Thanks for  getting back @DarloJo and good to see you around @HannahElRe! 🙂

There's something else you can try. If you look at the notification email, at the bottom, you will see a note saying that you've received this email because you signed up for low battery notifications and that if you want to stop receiving them, to click on Unsubscribe. Click on that and follow the instructions from there.  Basically it will take you to the notifications panel on your dashboard but try it that way and see if that makes any difference.

I've done both of those things. It doesn't stop the emails.

I'm thinking there is a bug in the system...

@HannahElRe, there's not an official announcement on this but I'm thinking the same. It could be a bug.

At the moment, since all you've tried has not worked I'd please ask you to ignore the emails or set them to be sent to the spam folder or to be deleted automatically.

Thanks for your comprehension!

Can you get them to fix this bug? Extremely annoying.

ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have called and spoken to 4 different people, I have multiple reference numbers and I have been trying for MONTHS to get this bullsh*t resolved. I am so angry at this. I get about 6 emails a day telling me my battery is low.

ALL of my notifications are off, for both mobile and email. I have unsubscribed from this BS MULTIPLE times. I never received these emails until 2018. This is such crap.

literally none of that works. I never ever had it checked, EVER. Yet I still get so many emails for this.

In the time it took me to write these past two comments, I got another email.

-_-

I have the same problem. All email notifications unchecked but getting low battery emails. Clicking unsubscribe on the email or changing notification setting again has no effect. First email I have tracked is from march 13th.

Hey @morganmce@Pedro_MD11 welcome to the Community and @salmongo great to see you around.

I appreciate the feedback provided regarding this issue, while we investigate this, I recommend following @FerdinandFitbit's recommendation and ignore the emails you are receiving or set them to be sent to the spam folder or to be deleted.

Your patience will be much appreciated. Smiley Happy
