Upgraded to iPhone Xr and Blaze won't display texts

Couple issues-

I upgraded to the iPhone Xr, my blaze will not stay synced by Bluetooth,  I frequently have to pair them.  It will show as Blaze or Blaze (classic).  That is the first issue. Second issue is that when it is paired, none of my texts or phone calls show on my Blaze. I have reset my Blaze and forgot the device multiple times on the phone and neither has worked.  What is the solution?
