Upgrading from Charge to Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am considering upgrading from the Charge to the Blaze and I wanted to get input from others that may have done the same thing.  I have read several of the discussions here, some with complaints about various features or inaccurate step counting, etc.  However, myself included most people will only post stuff when it is not working.  So although there are topics, there could be many more very happy customers.

Aside from that, what are your impressions of the Blaze?  Do you think it was worth it to make the switch from either the Charge or Charge HR?  I don't have the HR feature now and I do like the idea of controlling the music from the watch.  I just don't want to regret the purchase.  🙂  Thanks for your feedback.

Just checked the Device Compatibility List and the most recent LG phone that is shown as supported is the LG G3.  I have the LG V10 and there is an LG G4 and the LG G5 which is about to come out.  The G3 is the latest?  That's a major problem.  Guess that answers any questions I would have had.  Smiley Indifferent

@Mark75  To answer your initial question, I upgraded from Charge to Blaze.  For me it was worth it, and have not experienced any issues/difficulties.  (I am on IPhone). I still use the Charge for a "backup" for me - for when I am either 4 wheeling, doing yard work, etc. and don't want to have the Blaze on.  (Or it is charging)

Thanks.  I am going to check it out this weekend.  Even though the compatibility list seems out of date, there isn't much different with the software on the most recent LG phones so it could work well with the V10 phone I have.  I just need to make sure it can be returned at the local retailer if things don't go well.  🙂

I'm on Android Lollipop with no problems.

I do enjoy the extra features,  the connected GPS, amd music control. I still use the Charge HR as my go to work unit, but this might change soon.

So far accuracy for me has not been an issue, music control is working as expected, amd now that i have my settings fine tuned, I'm getting text messages.

As for th phone this is a your experiance may vary., i see comments about having LG problems, and comments about no LG problems and works fine. However i see comments that the Blaze doesn't work with the Samson G5, it works fine for me.

If your able too, they might let you install Fitbit on the demo phone.

Think of the compatability last of phones that have been tested,  along with what is known to, and nit known to work. The new model phone probably has nor been tested yet.

My girlfriend has a charge HR, we were going to buy one each at the same time.
She loves hers, it does everything she wants it to do.
My problem is that I can't see the display unless I either focus for a few seconds or wear my glasses.
So because of this I bought the Blaze (I did purchase the Surge but the backlight was awful).
I love it, it's comfortable, intuitive and I can see the display at a glance as I train.
There's no difference between the two apart from a few things that I don't need or want (text alerts and music) so if I could see the screen I'd have bought a charge HR, but I couldn't, so I got the blaze.

@Alondra as @SunsetRunner stays your data is stored on your Fotbit account, the app doesnt keep any data, but goes to 6our Fitbit account.
You have two choices one cjoice is to add the Blaze as a second tracker, then you will have two trackers to choose from, the other is typically o replace your current tracker.
