Using FB Blaze without band

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'd like to know if by putting the FB blaze face (since it detaches from the band) in my pocket or something, will it count my steps/distance? Obviously, the heart rate feature will not work, but in the case that I am attending a function and don't want to wear THIS watch but still want to track my steps, will putting the face itself in my pocket work for steps, at least? Or even distance?

I have this problem as I have the FB HR...sometimes I rather use a different watch or the HR doesn't match my outfit or accessories haha.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @hawaiigirl,

Welcome to the community!

I've been curious about this myself, but have not tried it yet.  That said, you can use multiple Fitbits per account (I assume that's how you have your Charge HR setup...  on the same account as your Blaze) and get one of the clip on models (the Zip or the One).

By virtue of your nickname, I'll assume that you're a woman.  So when wearing the Zip or One, you don't necessarily have to clip it on or carry it in your pocket (if you're wearing an evening dress), you may also slip it into your bra.

I hope this helps.

PureEvil,

Thanks for your input! I actually haven't purchased the Blaze yet because this is one of my concerns. That is a great idea about getting a clip on FB and using that in it's place. But then I'd have to purchase the clip on and the Blaze at the same time 😞 haha.

It should work fine,, my only reservation would be the charging contacs, static, and shorted by coins. The last one might not be a problwm

Fitbit should've made the charging dock with a clip on the back and detachable from the wire; that would allow the unit and charger to have multiple uses. I imagine that there will be some third parties that come up with clever ways to use the fitbit blaze.

I wpuld imagine a third party mmaking a case for the Blaze, in the same way their ate clip on cases for the Flex amd One. You can also fond river arm names for the One.
