Vibrating motor not working on the Fitbit Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Blaze for 8-9 months and in the past couple of days it has stopped vibrating for anything. My alarm is showing on the screen but not vibrating & waking me up, the countdown no longer vibrates when it's done, messages that come through are showing on the screen but there's no vibration. Anyone know if this is a hardware fault or something in the software? I've done all the restarting and turning off and on again. This is the second Fitbit Blaze I've had a problem with as I had to return the first because the heart rate monitor wasn't working 😔 I have been loving my Fitbit up to this point.

Have you checked the Blaze itself to make sure notifacations are still enabled?

Have you restarted the phone.

Speaking of the phone, it would be helpful to have this information.?

Hi,

Yes, notifications are on as they appear on the screen, there's just no vibration accompanying them.

Just tried turning my phone on and off but still nothing......it's an iPhone 6s if that helps.

Thanks for your help!

Such a bummer @jenni_mc 😞 I'm sorry that your tracker is not vibrating for anything at all.

For what you mention, it sounds like the vibrating motor might have broken, so if you've already tried to restart the tracker and turning it off and on manually, I would say the vibrating motor is dead for sure.

For this reason, I've decided to forward your case to the Support Team for them to help you out with this. I'm pretty sure they will be happy to help you out! Just keep an eye on your inbox for further instructions and if you need anything else, I'm here to help! 🙂

what is the fix for dead vibrating motors?

mine stopped working and i rely on it to wake me very early in the morning and not disturb my wife.

After multiple fitbits i have yet to have one last two years. I am not a fan of purchasing a $200 item every 18 to 20 months.

Try a restart, you might need to do this 3 times.

I performed a reset three times reset to try to fix the random shutdowns but this did not correct the recently failed silent alarms which i depend upon.

I’m having this same exact issue with my Fitbit Blaze, except I have an iPhone 8 Plus.

My Fitbit Blaze is having the exact same issue and I have an iPhone 8. I’ve had my Fitbit for about a year and I’m really upset the vibrations aren’t working when I get texts, phone calls, other notifications, and alarms. I’ve done the exact same thing of restarting and resetting and nothing has worked. I’ve looked into purchasing an Apple Watch because of this problem with my Fitbit. I would prefer that my Fitbit be fixed and work properly otherwise I’ll switch products.
