Waking up with steps on Fitbit Blaze

Hi! Recently got my Fitbit blaze and I'm wearing it on my non dominant wrist. Each morning I wake up and it says I have between 14-15 steps. I haven't moved yet. Shouldn't it say 0? I decided to switch the settings from non dominant to dominant to see if that would make a difference, and it didn't. I'm so confused!

@emilyvh  It is probably picking up your movements as you sleep. Most wrist based trackers will do this.

Thank you! I was wondering the same. I just was thinking it was funny how it said I got that many steps without getting out of bed yet, and I feel like I do toss and turn more so that could be it. Would you recommend me switching back my settings to non dominant instead of dominant?

@emilyvh  That is up to you - if you have it set to "dominant" then it won't be as sensitive to movements, so it may help some with the false steps.  For me, I don't worry too much about the false steps as in the overall tracking it has minimal impact.

Good to know, thanks again. I will set it back to non dominant since it technically IS my non dominant wrist. I am so new to this, was just curious what everyone else's thoughts/suggestions were since many of you have been using Fitbit products for awhile now.
