Disappointing Product and Support (Do not wear during exercise!!)
After buying the FitBit Blaze and Warranty Program, the description of the product stated that it would be useful for "quickly checking exercise intensity during workout" and "use multi sport tracking to track runs, cardio, cross training, biking and more". This product worked well for over a year with intensive exercise, which did NOT include running in the rain, showering with it on, or submerging it in any water.
After about a year and a half, the Blaze started malfunctioning. Nothing had changed in the environment it had been exposed to over that time, and there was no apparent reason for this FitBit failure when it stopped turning on one day, with no external causes apparent. It had not been exposed to moisture other than my sweat, including NO rain, humidity or other water.
The response after sending in the device for assessment and/or repair was disheartening.
"An audit was performed on your device and liquid damage was found within the unit. Unfortunately, your warranty for this item does not include coverage for repairs with this type of damage."
It would appear the devious part FitBit products in general, is that you should not sweat during these sessions or else it will eventually seep into and override any "water resistance" claims (which is only mentioned in the fine print of the warranty) and void any protections you may have purchased due to the anomalous "water damage"... leaving you out however many hundreds of dollars you spent with no other recourse than to... buy another one?
While "water damage" is a common and accepted process for rejecting electronic repairs, a claim like FitBit makes, that it is meant to "use multi sport tracking to track runs, cardio, cross training, biking and more", especially for a "water resistant" device, is unfortunate when any help the company can provide is rejected based on the fact that you sweat while wearing the device.
From personal experience, and from seeing many of the other reviews for any FitBit product, if you own this device, do not allow sweat to get on it. If you do not own one, I could not more strongly discourage purchasing something from FitBit.

Hi @ElizabethThorse sorry you're having problems with your Blaze. I loved mine. When we wear these devices seven days of the week for nearly the entire twenty-four hours, they do experience some wear and tear. From the pebble being removed from the frame to charge it to fastening and unfastening the band, they do get some wear. The product care information - click to view - mentions cleaning the band and your wrist after sweating. Did you do that? Have you tried putting the pebble into a dry bowl of rice to get any moisture out of it? Recleaning the contact points on it and the charger unit would help, too. Maybe you can revive it, but there isn't much more customer support can do for you.
