Im currently running 17.8.102.7 and was curious if the newer version was remove due to unforeseen issues?

No. Fitbit just release it to different people over the course of a few weeks. You will get it eventually.

Hello @Jmac82 welcome to the Fitbit Community!  As mentioned by @ThePreacher Fitbit is slowly releasing version 17.8.104.1 keep an eye on your app or inbox for a notification when available.
