When using Blaze to track exercise it shows shorter distances

Whenever I use my Fitbit blaze to track exercise-walking it records less distance and steps than other gps enabled apps. For instance I use MapMyFitness to track my walks and this evening it recorded 2.23 miles  and 4400 while the Blaze only recorded 1.92 miles and 3600 steps. At the 1 mile mark per MapMyFitness the blaze had only recorded .76 miles any suggestions? I have updated Blaze firmware this week.

Two things are going on here.

Let's look at My Fitness pal, it uses GPS to record your distance, then it uses your perceived stride to calculate the steps. My Fitness pall does not count your steps, but takes an educated guess.

Fitbit on the other hand counts the steps, and takes an educated guess on the distance.

We really need to setup the walking stride, and maybe do a step count test by taking a walk while counting the steps as you walk and then compare.
