When will the next Blaze firmward update be available. Last week in most of the news outlets, it was expected to be out end of last week.
The update page below says September 2016, so not sure?

Fitbit's press release states "September 2016", so sometime this month.

I was wondering the same thing. Several of the stories in the press said the update would be rolled out to users "later this week." That was a week ago. I see the September date on Firbit's page. I just don't understand why they would tease us so, especially when so many have been wanting new clock faces.
My guess is they want it out before Apple's announcement on the 7th, so i guess I'll just keep checking the app over and over and over and over.

@Codymc Honestly, I don't think fitbit is smart enough to release it before apple's event tomorrow. A new apple watch will be announced and a new WatchOS. If it even has slightly better fitness tracking abilities, many will jump ship from fitbit. Expect to see a lot of used Blazes on ebay in the next few weeks and months.

They should annouance the actual date not the month, the firmware will be available. I assume they do not know, which does not say a lot for their software development processes.

The iOS update for iPhone will be released in the Fall so hopefully the Blaze update will be sometime this week.

I'm guessing they are actually waiting till the new iOS is out for iPhone. That will stop them from having to push 2 updates.
I don't think thats it, Fitbit has pushed out 6 iOS app updates since May (and 9 for Android app):

Fitbit is actually quite good at pushing out app updates. Tracker updates are another story...

Yeah, Apple Watch and Fitbit Blaze are two significantly different devices that aren't in the same price bracket.
I don't think either manufacturer would see the other devices as competition.

Apple Health request has the highest number of votes on Feature Request forum, and after 2+ years still "under consideration" whatever that means.

Last week one of the news outletsreceived some unreleased info and leaked it, then. assumed it will be out within a few days. The rest of the media ran with it,, no one based this announcement on an official fitbit release of a date or time line. Fitbit never released a public statement on the update.. Fitbits update page is a response to a this leak.
Sorry for the confusion, but this is what happens when the press assumes something based on hearsay.
But fitbit did give a press release, although it does not include pictures (but the pictures are now on the Blaze product page.
