When will the forgotten Blaze next. get new watch faces

I have been a blaze user for over a year and have been disappointed by the lack of support. The last real update brought relax from the charge 2 and 3 new watch faces, 2 of which was rubbish. The ugly duckling (Ionic) already has more watch faces than the blaze. why did fitbit not push more watch faces and features to the blaze in the first place. I came from Garmin and jumped to fitbit, the fitbit app is a real fresh and easy way to look at your data but the support for the Blaze device has been a real disappointment. Can someone please tell me if anybody in Fitbit is still working on new features for the blaze or are we now the forgotten users.

I loved the fitstar feature on the blaze also but once I left Garmin and handed over cash for the blaze I then came shocked as you can not change these exercises at all. From the day of purchase to the day it dies you have the same warm up and etc. Surly it was not difficult to code this from your fitstar app and choose new exercises to be sync with the blaze.

I Blaze could have been so much more than what it was and I'm still shocked at how many people are still buying them. New watch faces will be brilliant and I would like to view more than just 1 piece of data on the screen during exercise.

I have been told by your social media sites that I'm not the only one mentioning these situations. However I do not hear or see Fitbit acknowledging the concerns of the users. If Fitbit are currently working on new updates and features that is fine and fantastic, however if this is not happening I cant see most buying the ugly duckling and that will mean jumping to new eco systems.

As Fitbit users we find ourselves not privy to what the developers do. Sorry.. I suggest watching blog.fitbit.com

That was such a poor response, sorry. I also disagree if we as consumers spend our hard earn cash on a company’s device that has received very little in new features, watch faces and updates. Then we have the right to know what the company’s intentions are. If they are to carry on supporting it, and not just bug fixes but a true update then happy days. If they are not to add more features then I have and others also have out grown this device.

When I spoke to someone from fitbit on social media they said all new ideas are very welcome at there feature suggestion page. So if fitbit want to hear our new ideas and put them forward to them, then I believe we have a right to know if they are to carry on development for the Blaze.

I just made a thread on this a couple days ago and got blasted about it saying its still "supported". By supported do they mean doing just enough updates to make it play nice with the phone? Cause that's all the Blaze seems to be good for. I absolutely love my Blaze and so does my wife, but I know for a fact this is on its way out because of the Ionic. The least they could do is let Blaze owners have access to the ionic watch faces and just make them cross play.

Totally agree with you. The Ugly duckling has all of Blaze’s watch faces, so clearly the blaze and the ionic have the same of not similar coding pratices in place. So therefore why can they not bring some of the New Ionic watch faces over to the blaze. Keeping the Blaze alive is the only way I’m still on fitbit. The Ionic is not pretty to look at and is so big that unless your overweight the thing won’t sit and wrap round your wrist properly, it leaves gaps. I see all other fitbit devices as a downgrade from the Blaze so my options are to keep Blaze or leave fitbit. If they are to keep the Blaze development going I’m happy and will stay if not then I will leave. As fitbit has recently lost first and second place on the wearable market I don’t think they can afford to loose there loyal customers.

Im quite disappointed that most threads here have had an Fitbit rep respond to them, and respond rather quickly. I am still waiting for a Fitbit rep to respond to this, so I can only assume that they don’t have an answer that I want to here. Therefore we can all only assume that the Blaze development has been stopped. Only will we see minor bug fixes going forward, which as I continue to progress in my fitness lifestyle the Blaze will no longer be good enough for what I need.

Fitbit is still selling them and has not announced plans to drop them.

They can still sell them and do small updates for firmware and bug fixes. What I’m asking is is that the last delopment feature update was some months back now. And since Ionic has been realeased we seem to be all forgotten. I have been so disappointed not to get a response from a fitbit rep about this that I have now decided in the January sales I will be purchasing the Garmin Vivoactive 3. It has a million more features a million more watch faces and you can even create your own in seconds. Something I think fitbit should take on board instead of spending millions on buying company’s to do it for them.

Fitbit i believe have the best looking app but there device support has been a let down.

@Rich_Laue Thanks for jumping in this thread!

@BobsledJoe Thanks for all your feedback. I definitely understand your concerns, in particular with clock faces with Blaze. This has been a highly requested feature suggestion by many Blaze users. However, at this time, it is not currently planned for Blaze. To read more about the status of this suggestion, please check out this post in the Feature Suggestions board. I appreciate your understanding on this matter and hope you'll stay around as part of the Fitbit family.
