So I got my Fitbit yesterday and it worked just fine. I plugged it in last night, and it said it was charging. This morning I went to take it out of the charger and it wasn't turning on... I thought maybe it wasn't actually charging throughout the night so I plugged it back in. As soon as I plugged it in it turned on, it said it was at 100%. So I took it out of the charger and as soon as I took it out the screen went black again and I wasn't able to turn it on. I tried swiping it every way possible and pressing every button and still nothing. I even tried restarting it a few times but everytime I did that the screen would just stay blank and nothing would happen.

Sounds defective. I would exchnage it where ever you got it or Contact Support
