Won't sync or connect at all...

Getting pretty frustrated at this point. My Blaze has been working perfectly since I got it, back in February or March.

I charged my Fitbit yesterday completely... Today I noticed that the wrong time was showing up, so I tried to sync it to my phone and it wouldn't sync. It seemed to sync about halfway, and then it would stop and flash a red empty battery with a slash through it and another symbol that looked like an internet symbol or something (one dot with a few other dots coming off of it). Like I said, my battery was completely charged yesterday. I charged it again and retried the sync, no luck. I restarted the Fitbit, no luck. I shutdown the Fitbit, nothing. And I restarted my iPhone.... nothing. Closed the app and reopened it. Deleted the app and reinstalled it. Nothing is working.

I ended up getting so annoyed that I hit the "forget this device" button to try to re setup my Blaze, and now it won't connect at all. It will occasionally connect and give me the four numbers and I put them in my phone, then it gets stuck at "Connecting to Fitbit...." and won't move.

Help please! I'm so frustrated.

I'm having this exact issue right now. Gets halfway through the sync and then a red empty battery with a slash through it flashes

@Acampbell0323 it sounds like the tracker needs to be charged.

@Darrenf are you sure that you only removed the device from your phones BT setting, which does not need to be setup again.. Removing the device from your account through the app, doesn't remove it from the phone, it simply is telling Fitbit you don't want to use the tracker.
So we have to correct the non sync then do the setup.
First thing I would do is go to the phones BT settings and remove the Blaze,
Then restart both the phone and the Blaze
If it still doesn't work do a shutdown of both devices.

??? Where is this red battery with the slash appearing?

I've merged your posts, and am left more confused.
You say you went through the Phones BTand told it to forget the device, doing this is a good step, but does not require the tracker to be setup again.

If you charged it yesterday, and your time was off, had yo shit the Blaze off?
It still sounds like there is a battery or a charging problem, what are you charging through?

@Rich_Laue It was appearing in the syncing bar at the top of the Fitbit app (on my phone).

I just got it to work again- I had to go into my Bluetooth phone settings and "forget" all devices I had previously paired my phone with... Since I had already hit "forget this device/Blaze" I did have to go through the original pairing again but it seemed to go right through this time.

I'm not sure if I found the actual solution or if this was just what worked for me. I'm hoping it doesn't happen again! Thanks for your help!

I had to re setup the tracker because I was trying everything I could to fix it so I had actually hit "forget this tracker" on the Fitbit app. I just had to retrace my steps at this point because I was trying anything and everything to fix it.

You were right about the phone's Bluetooth settings- once I had my phone forget the devices, it seemed to work again.

(It is completely charged and showing up on my phone's app and the actual Fitbit now- I believe it was just saying it was not charged because it would not sync.)

The only way I have found to resolve the issue is to :

1 remove the blue tooth profile

2 remove the device from the FB app

3 remove iOS app and reinstall

4 BT Sync the device to phone

5 add Blaze back to iOS app

6 wait after the 4 digit passcode (like 5 minutes) eventually you will then get in.

I first had to do this after the September fitbit update and once again the other day (I have had this device since it launched, I upgraded from another fitBit tracker.

@Acampbell0323 I'm glad your back uo, next time first try a phone restart. With the last several app updates that is all Ive had to do. Then again I'm running the beta and receive 1 to 2 updates a week, and with android it is not uncommon to have to restart BY or the phone when an app embers itself into the os.

Second try a tracker restart, then do the BT phone settings and forget the tracker, or try this first. I think you will find one way usually works.. I also find almost after every app update I need to restart the phone to get notifications and connected gps to work.

@Darrenf I strongly do not recommend removing the tracker from the account, this does nothing in fixing a sync problem, but simply tells fitbit that you do not want to use it antmore. You still need to fix the problem then do the additional step of telling fitbit you want to use the tracker, plus any in sync steps might be lost.

The better way to do it would be to add the device as a replacement to itself, this is best used to straighten out missing menus that the app is unable to add back.

The Fitbit seems to be talking to my phone now but the battery life is crappy again. Might as well have an iWatch the amount of times I need to charge the device (all since the last update).

I disabled sync all day too hoping this would stop the battery drain
