how do I start a weight training exercise and use the stop watch feature

I want to start training weights on the fitbit blaze but it won't let me then go to stopwatch and use that feature without stopping the exercise. I use the stopwatch to time my rests during weight training. No I don't want to be looking at the timer on the exercise section I want to manually start and stop the stopwatch. Thanks!

@ericc2728 A warm welcome to the Community! I would like to get more details in why aren't you able to track weights using the weights feature in your Blaze? Is it not responding to your taps? Is it not tracking your weights?

You can use the timer but the best option should be to user the weights feature in your Blaze.

Keep me posted.

that's exactly what I'm saying I want to start the weight exercise AND use the stopwatch at the same time. I time my rests and sometimes my intervals. I need to be able to use a stopwatch for that but if I start a weight exercise it won't let me exit out and go to the timer unless I stop the weight exercise, and if I do this I have to manually enter my weight training section which I want to avoid. it needs to be able to run both apps at once but it won't let me. I'm baffled why this feature wouldn't be allowed?

I just got the Fitbit blaze and it has the weight training mode under excersize. My question is should I pause the timer between set or let it run?

I had a question to go along with this: When you are using the weights setting do you pause the timer between sets or are you supposed let in run the whole time in the gym lifting?

I believe you just let the timer run.  Your heart rate will still be elevated b/t sets.

the biggest problem is if you start the exercise it won't let you back out of it to go back to the timer or stopwatch. i want to start the weight training exercise then go to the stopwatch and time my rests in between sets. I have only been using the stopwatch feature and i noticed that fitbit NEVER records my weight training sessions automatically like it does when i'm playing volleyball or doing other drills or sports. If this is the case that means i have to manually add "weight training" later and i don't remember how long the actiual session is.

When you start an exercise it should let you back out and go to the stopwatch, then after i'm done i can go back to the exercise and hit stop. This way i have an accurate time of when i started and stopped my weight training.

@ericc2728 Thanks for the details! It's not possible to stop the weight exercise and use the stopwatch at the same time. Once you stop the exercise it will give you a summary. I found this idea that's related to what you're asking, you may want to vote for it because those suggestions are viewed by our engineers and developers.

@SunsetRunner Hey there! I think the best thing to do in this case is to let the timer run because at the end it will give you a summary of what you did.

Hope this helps.
