Do "Activity Calories" include the calories burned by your Basal Metabolic Rate or are they in addition to what I'm burning just breathing in and out?

It's great to see you around @CrankyOleBroad. If you have inquiries about your calories, I recommend taking a look at this post, where you will be able to find some explanations about this.

No, that did not answer my question. Are you a person or a Bot? Because that post was way off.

Great to see that you are back @CrankyOleBroad. Your Blaze estimates your calories by your basal metabolic rate. This is the rate at which you burn calories at rest just to maintain vital body functions like breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity.

Your BMR usually accounts for at least half of the calories you burn in a day and is estimated based on the physical data you entered when you set up your account: gender, age, height, and weight. The calorie burn estimate that Fitbit provides takes into account your BMR, the activity recorded by your tracker, and any activities you log manually.

@AlejandraFitbit Even though this person has accepted your reply I don't think it is correct.

They specifically posted.. "Do Activity Calories (Trainer) include BMR". I included Trainer - Premium because I examined this persons profile and they are a Premium user and I feel the post was triggered because of the inability to meet one's Calories Burned Goal.

Can you expand because I can't find anything in the Forums and on the Help for Premium.

Looking forward to a reply...

Active minutes are when the body is burning 3 times your BMR,  while these minutes fall within a 10 minute period of activity.

@Rich_Laue Thanks for the reply.... but the question was "Does the Trainer Calories include BMR".. or in another way "What is the definition of  Activity Calories (Premium Trainer).  Nothing about Active Minutes.

I would have thought, if you subtract your BMR from an activity or the days Total Calories Burned you would get Trainer Activity Calories and that answer would equal Trainer Calories.

Sorry until your last post there was no hint that it was the premium account being reffered to.

@Rich_Laue Again thanks for the prompt reply.. Nothing in the links... The Premium link is more about pushing to trial and doesn't define anything about Trainer...

Between us we haven't provided any help so maybe the moderators can throw some light on it and a response from @CrankyOleBroad who obviously asked the question because they have noticed something unusual in their use of the Premium Trainer.

Have a great weekend.....

The answer, I believe, is in the category name itself: "Activity Calories". Calculating from my own stats, I can see that these calories would not include BMR calories but only the calories burned through activity.
