They are designed to flash constantly to monitor your heart rate @cullen, this is normal; however, when you remove your Blaze and set it down (not wearing it) they should sleep after a few moments.  IF they don't try a hardware reset by holding in the left and bottom right buttons at the same time until your Blaze vibrates. Now set it down on a counter, flashing halt?

If not contact customer service chat and let them know what you have encountered.
