This is me second replacement Charge 5. This morning it began to vibrate constantly and the Fitbit logo was flashing on the screen. I attempted to reset it with the charging cord which only stopped the vibrating. I turned the blue tooth off and on. The Charge will not communicate with my phone. I deleted the Charge from my phone hoping that I could simply set it up again and solve the problem. In the midst of all this I now have a red circle with a x in the middle of it. The device will not do anything…again!
this being my third Charge 5 I purchased screen protectors and a special watch band to protect the device. I have done all that I can to try to protect my Charge 5.
In my past experience returning a defective device has resulted in me being without the device for a month. For some reason the device takes a month to get from CT. to CA. through the FedEx system.
I’m beginning to wonder why I or anyone else should continue to do business with Fitbit.

And now for the update! The battery was completely drained by lunch time today. Having read another individual’s post who also had this problem he allowed the battery to completely drain. Once he recharged it he was able to re-establish a connection with his phone and his Charge 5 began working again. I was pleasantly stunned when this truck worked for mine too! I was able to get my Charge 5 running again and was able to pair it up with my phone. So far it seems to be functioning properly. This was an unnecessary pain but it beats the month long exchange process.
