Active minutes v Zone Minutes

My Charge 5 currently shows 'zone minutes' as 17 and the same on the mobile app.

On my desktop app dashboard it shows 'active minutes' as 24.

What is the difference between 'active minutes' and 'zone minutes' and why are zone minutes (17) not shown on the desktop app?

Thanks in advance

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Community.  Active minutes and active zone minutes use two different equations.  Active zone minutes are also weighted based on activity.  Active zone minutes are 1x per minute in the fat burn zone and 2x per minute in the cardio and peak zones.  You can read more here. Active Zone minutes are more consistent with CDC and WHO activity recommendations.  Active minutes are considered to be out of date.

I'm not a Fitbit employee, but I think the reason the web dashboard shows active minutes has to do with Fitbit's evolution.  Fitbit has been moving to be more app based for some time.  Many features like the Health Metrics and Stress Management score are only on the app.  Fitbit chose not to update the web dashboard.
