I just got my charge 5 Fitbit yesterday and I have an android phone. When I walked this morning I did not realize that the only choice on my fit bit under exercise was running so it recorded incorrectly. Can I change the mode of activity on that record and how do I make the default on my Fitbit "walking"?

I am pretty sure that you can edit (one time) any activity that fitbit automatically detects. The generic "Workout" is the only activity you can manually start, and edit the name later.
You should be able to do this in the web or app dashboards. Load the activity and look for the pencil icon to edit.
I also just got a Charge 5 and had to reload all my preferred activities and re-arrange them.

You can add 6 exercise short cuts to the charge 5 from a choice of about 20 available in the app. Then you can select the one you want at the time you start the exercise. You can also edit the activities that the tracker with automatically detect. If specifically exercising or walking somewhere, I do prefer to select the activity myself rather than wait for autodetect.
