I've had my Charge 5 for less than 1 week. I upgraded from a Charge 2 after 4 years because I cracked the screen. This morning, I did a quick 30 minute workout before work (about 3900 steps, 2+ miles), then a quick 5 minutes each hour 7-10 (4 active hours with 250+ steps). About 11am, I sync'd before my workout at lunchtime and all my data went back to 0 except for the breakfast calories I had logged through my fitbit.com dashboard. I lost 5400+ steps, who knows how many miles and hours - all gone. I checked my time zone and it was correct. I started an online chat with Fitbit. We reset my device twice with no resolution. After 30 minutes of very slow chat (only to reset twice), I had to go. The rep sent me an email that was supposed to be additional help but it was no help at all - wasn't even the same subject as my issue. So I've lot 1/2 day activity on a brand new device. Anyone else have this issue or know how to get my data back?
