Ok, so I checked if my card (debit card from mastercard) / bank (rabobank) is supported, and yes it is,
When I am trying to add the card, I enter all card data, then I wait, and some screen appears (presumably from my bank) where I have to consent to activating my debit card / NFC payments.
When I consent, it goes back to the previous screen (where I have to fill in my card data) , and then after 15 seconds I get the message : ERROR : Cannot connect with bank or cardnetwork , try again later....
I did try again later, several times, and several days, but keep getting the message.
Is it a Fitbit problem, or is my Bank to blame?

Ok, after a couple of days of trying, today it suddenly worked 😁
Probably an error on the banks server
