Adding exercises on my Charge 5

I want to add walking exercise to my Charge 5 watch. How do I do that?

I have running, bike, swim(I don't swim),

Weights, aerobics and interval training.

Thanks,

Clglbl

Hello @ClglblWelcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Thanks for letting us know that you need to add some exercises to your Charge 5.

To change or reorder the exercises from your Fitbit app:

  1. From the Today tab MaCrisGBFitbit_4-1763581275223.png in the Fitbit app, tap Devices  MaCrisGBFitbit_5-1763581275225.pngMaCrisGBFitbit_6-1763581275227.png your device.

  2. Tap Exercise Shortcuts and make your changes: Tap + to add an exercise / To remove an exercise, swipe left on a shortcut and tap Delete / To reorder the exercises, press and hold a shortcut, and drag it up or down to change its position.

  3. Sync your device.

Thanks, I can't seem to find Exercise Shortcuts on my app. Is that a premium feature?

@Clglbl   The advice given by @MaCrisGBFitbit is different from this Help article    A firmware update put all shortcuts on the device itself.  That firmware is 194.91.

Premium isn’t required.

@Clglbl   The moderator missed a step, so here is the path if you ever need to edit your list:

  • Tap on the device/battery icon
  • Tap on your Charge 5 tile
  • Tap on Device preferences
  • Tap on Exercise shortcuts

You can check your firmware version by tapping on System on the same page as Device preferences.  I don't have an answer if you never got it.  This Help page lists all the changes in that update.  If you don't need any of the other features, then I recommend doing nothing.  Seems like every firmware update comes with the risk of bricking your device or ruining your battery life.
