My fitbit battery quickly drained and turned off on 7/16 for the first time.
Couldn't get it to charge at all until a few days ago,
after rebooting with the button on the power cord.
Now, it will charge to 100%, but I can't see the screen. EXCEPT:
1. when the charger is plugged in
2. and I tap the screen 10 or 15 times rapidly
I can see the battery level for about 1 second. That's it. Then black screen.
My app on my phone saw it yesterday, and I thought, well, at least it will track my data.
It did from about 5pm when I put it on, until 1am, when the battery was fully drained again.
But not ALL my data! Pretty much only my total steps.
Hourly steps not available. Heart rate not available.
I hopped on to their chat support, they asked me some very basic questions.
They quickly told me it wasn't under warranty (16 months old)
and they were going to send me a 35% off coupon for their site.
I'm on Firmware version: 57.20001.188.58.
I don't know if my issue is related to what others are going through with their Charge 5,
but it sounded similar enough I thought I'd post it in case it helps someone else.
