App on iPhone crashes while tracking a walk

Three times in the 10 days when I've looked at my phone at the end of my walk, it has either stopped completely just after one mile, or it has stopped and restarted by itself. Either way, it does not track the entire 3, 4, or 5 mile walk. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice. What is up with that?

Hi, thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing this inconvenience with your Fitbit app and for confirming that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps, @gidget91804

 

Could you please confirm if you're only experiencing this problem when you're walking or if happens with other activities as well? In addition, let me know if you're using the MobileRun or MobileTrack features on the Fitbit app or how exactly are you starting the activity. 

 

In the meantime, please try the following steps as well: 

 

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache / Clear Storage for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings.
  • Restart your phone. 
  • Log back in to check if you continue to have the same problem.
