App upgrade has been running for over 3 days now

3 days ago i got a message on my Charge 5 to upgrade my Fitbit app. So i did—now 3 days+ my charge 5 is basically dead and will not sync. I had adapted to the short time between charging. I lived with the little glitches from time to time but this put me over the top. I purchased a new smart watch today from a very responsive company   Sometimes companies just get too big
