I’ve always had fitbits, currently using a charge 4.
Online I’m reading about how Fitbit has been pulled from so many countries and that support for its products will be ending in 2025. Is any of this confirmed ?
I’m looking to upgrade to a charge 6 but I’m worried I’m buying the end of the line - an obsolete product that will lose all support in the next year.
Is it still worth the purchase?

Hello @henry74
Google made the decision to stop selling Fitbit devices in almost 30 countries. However, they have committed to providing support for those who still have Fitbits in those countries. See official announcement on Fitbit.com updates (<-- click link). The announcement does not give a timeline for when/if support will be ending in those countries.
If you live in a country where Fitbits are still sold, there shouldn't be any issues with product support.
Considering that the Fitbit app is included on Pixel watches, I think this indicates to me, that Fitbit - including devices - will be around for awhile. From what I read, the Fitbit app integration in the Pixel Watch 2 is much better than it was for the original Pixel watch.
Please take the time to check out the features of the Charge 6 and make sure they meet your needs. There are features that the Charge 4 has, like tracking floors, that are not included in the Charge 6.

That's a different thing entirely.
Fitbit wasn't always a Google company.
And Fitbit sold trackers almost everywhere. Google has decided to stop selling Fitbits in the countries where they don't also sell their phone.
If you can buy a pixel phone, fitbits are okay in your country.
But as you've seen with the trash update, it's not just Google getting rid of things you have to worry about.....
Time to leave Google and Fitbit.
Try a Garmin. You get the premium features of Fitbit....... But they don't hide them behind a paid premium membership.
