Charge 5 experiencing battery drain

So I got a charge 5 just close to 3 years ago and everything has been going well until the last update a good few months ago, since then I've been dealing with a far poorer battery ability. I'm now getting 2 days max ,if I'm lucky, for general life, eg counting steps and tracking sleep, however if I exercise im getting alot less as the fitbit screen is on constantly whilst tracking.

The fitbit has become pretty useless now and while I'm aware I'm outwith the 2 year warranty, I find it pretty unfair that the device is not functional now due to updates done by you guys which is supposed to improve the device rather than making it pretty much not fit for purpose.

For the record, I've tried all the suggested steps to try to fix the problem, including uninstalling and installing the app, resetting the device etc but no change.

Is there plans in place to get a fix for everyone experiencing the same problem or am I consigned to have to get a new one?

I had a charge 2 and had it for longer without much issue and only changed for updated specifications.
