Battery drain after "upgrade"

Recently I was prompted for an update. That was a mistake.....

Now the battery drain is so heavy that my Charge 5 is almost useless. The firmware version is now 57.20001.188.58 and I have an Android phone with app version 4.02.1.

I think I have tried everything. I reset the device, changed the GPS settings and everything else I could think of. Including trawling the community. Nothing seems to work.

Up until very recently the battery lasted for a week'ish and no issues at all.

I feel alone about this problem. 

Otherwise happy user since 2016......

Mine started yesterday. It automatically updated version 4.03. Won't hold a charge. Never had a problem until yesterday!

Same, since 3 weeks - I also have this 188 version an it's used with Android (Samsung) phone... I only want previous software version - can they not restore it? If we had a link to previous application version and previous software version it would be ok again... I do not want or need any new features, I was perfectly happy with what I had - steps, clock, heart rate + sleep. I wanted to use Pay also and GPS, but did not. Want my working Fitbit back!!!
